About Me

Thanks for Visiting My Site. Mi Casa Es Tu Casa.

I’m the father of a wildly curious, multicultural nine-year-old and the husband of a proud Norwegian. When I’m not with my family, you’ll usually find me riding my bike in the mountains or in conversation with people who are trying to build something better. I’m originally from Mexico City, grew up in Southern California, am half Spanish, and now live in rainy (and beautiful) Bergen, Norway.

I teach young managers at the Norwegian School of Economics, future doctors at the University of Bergen, and creative engineering minds at the Norwegian University of Science & Technology — where I was named Professor of the Year.

Alongside my academic work, I lead Pracademy, an innovation and leadership training firm, where I work with organizations such as Telenor, LG Korea, Skatteetaten, and WWF, helping people lead with more presence, courage, and humanity.

I hold a BBA from La Salle-Universitat Ramon Llull and an MBA from Stanford University, where I was awarded the Social Innovation Fellowship. Stanford even invested a serious chunk of money in one of my startups — which then failed rather spectacularly. The experience was humbling, slightly painful, and unexpectedly formative. My ego took a hit, and I became (slowly) a better human.

These days, I’m also an investor and advisor at Naya.no, an award-winning social venture in India founded by two of my former NTNU students. I’m deeply curious about how people grow, how cultures shape leadership, and how inner work translates into real-world impact.

I’m addicted to outrageously spicy food. And on May 6th, 2021, I died four times (not from the spicy food). That experience changed how I see life, work, and what actually matters — and it quietly informs everything I do.
